The invisible enemy!

Humanity at the crossroad: challenges are always there. The previous that one encounters always appears daunting but what the world now faces is surely unparalleled. What is in front of us is surely that which questions even our existence. In the process, there is no hiding place. One is called upon to face up to it whoever one is. A call also to look at the way one lives and questions the superficial and the mundane which should make us ponder and questions how the world has been living and particularly oneself.

Nature has a way of redressing their balance and perhaps what we are witnessing in the form of the global threat is a cry from Mother Earth and the environment to plead and ask humanoids to reconsider. For us, it is a massive problem, one which cause disturbance to our lifestyles: With self lockdown or otherwise imposed in many countries at time of writing; it is only really a question of when that the world as a whole is so confined. Life as it is may never be quite the same post the global threat. It is no longer an enemy easily identified which may be easily targeted. The challenge is that there is no counter instant remedy: in time and at what cost. Are we heading towards an apocalypse? Is there hope?

We are stuck in a limbo; not knowing which way to turn. Is the message clear enough? Or do we need to find another cure to get back to the way we were? Or is this a call to look both within and without? Should one call time on our use and abuse of the environment? From an environmental perspective is it all a welcome intervention? May one pause and reflect or carry on? Is it simply a case of survival of the fittest where if you are strong then one may override any difficulty as posed and so verily nothing to worry about as one will be all right as going on surely is around the corner!

Should there be actions to seek a solution so that we carry on in similar fashion as previously? Must our prayers simply be about forgiveness only to go back to ways which led to the inferno we are facing up to currently? Or is it the case that one has to seriously ponder on the way we have been living? To be sure on the considerations and discussions on these may surely lead to how it is proposed that one moves forward, in the realm of a way which is not simply about divisions and or hatred or frictions and or exploitations of the animate and inanimate. In brief may one try and dialogue rather than placing veils around and about? May one in all seriousness lead a life of non-frictions and reaching out? Is the call about enough on a particular way of being and of opening up to a different realm? That realm which sees the other as a comrade rather than as a figure to be ignored if not despised! Is there some sense about questioning the way one has lived? May we live a lifestyle which does not cause any form of disturbance to any other?

Is this possible? What is the way forward? Ask a scientist and he may provide an answer? Another one may disagree. Likewise, when faced to challenges different parties have opposing views as to resolve existing problems! Are we doomed in that we may never be able to be in dialogue with one another as there may never be consensus around and about how to be? It all stems from a single source of blaming the other whereas one is all right. The fact of the matter is that one is not. Nor is the lifestyle we have been living.

Can one agree that our lifestyles not as the other but all of us leaves a lot to be desired? And possibly it is that which may have brought us face to face with the current challenge emerging from and out of Wuhan and spreading at an almost furious pace everywhere. If only there is some broad agreement perhaps one may take a course of united action against that challenge with the alternative being to try getting back to more of the same. That more of the same where one has a destructive and violent society is not something that one happily subscribes where distrust, hate and frictions are part of the lifestyle that one subscribes to.

What is being questioned is that arrogant way of being and a lifestyle which puts others down and, in some way, it is being exposed that nature has pronounced: Enough is enough! It is ‘my’ turn to get back to you humans seems to be announcing mother nature who is after recreating a balance again in a world where far too much has happened. It is a cry calling on humanity to stop. And some think that it is merely correct that a redress needs to occur where a balancing act may arrive.

It is a war with an invisible enemy attacking mankind from within. Whereas, one does not know how to combat it at the early stages, all seems doomed. Grim news are circulated around daily almost with no hope but sheer management of a doom to follow in due course. What is for certain is that in this war there will be lots of victims whilst the latter not having any way to try facing up to it as it is far too powerful.
It is a proper world war where the other side seems to be winning, where the enemy is always on a firm footing where humanoids are still struggling as in spite of facing an enemy yet are still disunited with each group, nation choosing to tackle that invisible as they best feels fit to do without much unity or common cause and very few really knowing what to do or not what to do. It is unsurprising that all this be so in climate where one lives in friction and distrust of the other.

There is also a panic about as one is at a standstill where the foundation of modern life is questioned. The lack of trust is also revealed at an interpersonal level where the other viewed as the enemy to be at a distance as if by maintaining a social distance all will be fine. And around the world one has also witnessed how some has gone to the level of brutes whilst others have made attempts at reaching out.
